Thanks for visiting our site. Chris Goodrich has been playing hockey almost all his life. Currently Chris is the Assistant Director of Hockey at Iceland Skating in New Hyde Park, New York, as well as the Assistant Coach of the Charminade High School Hockey team. He is also a former captain of the Hofstra University Hockey Team and is a Director of the Catamount Hockey School . Chris has taught and trained hundreds of students over the years while watching some of his students go from Squirts to College.
Our goal is for boys and girls to feel comfortable and confident on the ice. With individual attention kids progress through a specific set of basic skills. They'll learn to skate, play hockey and challenge themselves in a safe, fun setting. Being a good skater is the foundation for being a good hockey player. A good hockey player isn't only fast, but is in control and can always keep their balance. A good hockey player doesn't have to think about his or her skating and is able to concentrate on strategy. Practicing their skills isn't always a skater's favorite thing to do, but it is most important. Whether its private one-on-one lessons, skills clinics, hockey camp, or league play, Chris can help improve your game and challenge your goals. |
